With the goal of reaching new players within our target demographic while they're on-the-go and often alongside friends, we invested in a partnership with Lyft to run 30-second video ads in their in-car tablets that are engaged with by a high proportion of riders.
Upon entering the vehicle, a full screen content card is displayed as a static image, immediately followed by a 30-second video ad with a deal and QR code. Once the ad is completed, the map of one's Lyft ride is displayed on the screen similar to what they see in their app with a smaller content card with a static image ad displayed in the corner. People can engage with the ad in two ways. They can use the QR code to come directly to our leagues page OR they can click on the tablet at any stage of the ad delivery and get the ad provided to them in their Lyft app on their phones with the ability to then go to our leagues page.
We've been running this ad for PHX Fray winter sports leagues in the Phoenix market, which includes everywhere from Downtown PHX into Scottsdale, Tempe, and Chandler. As you'll see in the links provided, there is the initial full screen content card riders would see, followed by the 30-second video ad and the smaller content card that then displays on the screen with the map of the ride.
